Like all charities, we are governed by a Board of Trustees (BOT). Our Board makes sure we are true to our mission of leading the way to a better life for everyone severely affected by mental illness.
Most of our Board have been affected by mental illness, either having personal experience themselves or supporting a family member or friend. Our Board also includes people with professional experience in mental health and public services.
We also have committees which govern the work of each of our eight regions. If you would like to become involved in our Governance and help shape the future of the organisation you can apply to be part of one of our Regional Committees.
The voice of our members is heard and represented at all levels in the organisation and we look for a wide range of people who can offer a good mix of skills and experiences. We provide training and support for those involved in committee work. Your expenses are re-imbursed; however, in line with charity law, no member of a governance committee is paid a fee.
