A gift in your will
Because of those we've lost. Because of those we've saved. It's down to us. If we don't, who will?
Imagine a day when no one affected by mental illness has to wake up to stigma, discrimination, ignorance and prejudice that prevents them from living the life they want, getting the job they deserve or even just getting the right treatment.
By agreeing to leave a gift to Rethink Mental Illness in your will – and telling us about it now – you can provide the guaranteed funds needed to make this ambition a reality. However large or small, a fixed percentage of your estate or a monetary gift, your generosity will help provide essential care and support for people affected by mental illness now and for generations to come.

When making a will your priority will be to provide for, and look after your loved ones. But many people also find that after they've done this they can leave something to a charity they hold close to their hearts. There are two main types of gift - a cash gift for a specific amount or a percentage of your estate.
Making a cash gift
"I give (insert amount) to Rethink Mental Illness (Registered Charity no. 271028), 89 Albert Embankment, Vauxhall, London SE1 7TP to be applied for its general purpose and the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of Rethink Mental Illness shall be a complete discharge to my executors."
Making a percentage gift
"I give (insert percentage) of my residuary estate to Rethink Mental Illness (Registered Charity no. 271028), 89 Albert Embankment, Vauxhall, London SE1 7TP to be applied for its general purpose and the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of Rethink Mental Illness shall be a complete discharge to my executors."
