When making a will your priority will be to provide for, and look after your loved ones. But many people also find that after they've done this they can leave something to a charity they hold close to their hearts. There are two main types of gift - a cash gift for a specific amount or a percentage of your estate.
Making a cash gift
"I give (insert amount) to Rethink Mental Illness (Registered Charity no. 271028), The Dumont, 28 Albert Embankment, London, SE1 7GR to be applied for its general purpose and the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of Rethink Mental Illness shall be a complete discharge to my executors."
Making a percentage gift
