We’re looking for an IPS Employment Specialist to join our East Kent IPS Service covering Thanet, Folkestone, Hythe & Romney Marsh, Canterbury, Dover, Deal and Ashford. You’ll work one to one with people who want to find or return to paid employment, helping them identify their goals, build confidence, and secure roles that align with their skills and aspirations.
This is a Part Time (21 Hours) role with a salary of £14,726.95 pro rata.
This is a rewarding, dynamic role where no two days are the same. You’ll work in the community, meet people where they are, and build strong relationships with employers and local partners to open real opportunities within the hidden labour market.
What you’ll do
As an Employment Specialist, you will
- Work alongside individuals to understand their employment goals and create personalised vocational plans.
- Support people to find and keep paid work that reflects their strengths, interests and ambitions.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, identifying opportunities and advocating for reasonable adjustments where needed.
- Provide in work support to help individuals thrive in their roles.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the IPS team and local services to ensure consistent, recovery focused support.
- Promote the value of employment in mental health recovery across your allocated East Kent area.
- Maintain effective records, manage referrals, and contribute to the smooth running of the service.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who
- Has experience supporting people into employment or helping others overcome barriers to work.
- Understands mental health challenges and has experience in social care, support services or community-based roles.
- Can build positive relationships with a wide range of people, including employers, colleagues and service users.
- Is empathetic, proactive and comfortable working independently across a dispersed geography.
- Is organised, flexible and able to respond calmly to unexpected challenges.
- Has strong awareness of risk management, safeguarding and confidentiality.
- Holds — or is working towards — a Level 3 qualification relevant to care, community mental health or social support (or equivalent experience).
Experience delivering community projects, facilitating training, or developing workshops is desirable but not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a service that's breaking down barriers, challenging stigma and ensuring people receive the right support at the right time. Working across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG), you'll play a vital role in helping people develop coping strategies, improve wellbeing and achieve meaningful recovery outcomes.
About the role
As a Wellbeing Practitioner, you'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering person-centred, psychologically informed support within the community. You'll facilitate psychoeducational groups, support peer-led activities, promote mental health awareness and help people build the skills and confidence needed to manage their wellbeing.
This is a field-based role, meaning you'll work from home, community venues and partner locations across BNSSG. You'll be provided with the equipment you need, including a laptop and smartphone, and travel expenses will be covered when required.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering high-quality, recovery-focused support to people with complex emotional needs and personality difficulties.
- Facilitating psychoeducational groups, wellbeing sessions and brief interventions.
- Supporting people to develop personalised wellbeing and recovery plans.
- Working collaboratively with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP), community partners and Experts by Experience.
- Promoting greater understanding of personality difficulties and challenging mental health stigma.
- Contributing to service development through co-production, feedback and continuous improvement.
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting service monitoring and outcome reporting.
- Supporting volunteers and helping create a welcoming, inclusive service environment.
What we're looking for

Eastleigh Court and the Yeovil Intensive Housing Management Service provide essential supported housing for adults with mental illness, offering safe, stable accommodation and structured support to help residents build independence. Eastleigh Court consists of 20 shared rooms across four houses with on site staff, while Yeovil provides 34 self contained flats supported through a floating support team. The services focus on intensive housing support, developing daily living skills, promoting stability, and helping individuals progress toward independent living, typically within two years, while signposting residents to additional services for wider needs.
You will works across both services (Yeovil and Eastleigh Court - Taunton) supporting the teams in co-ordination with the Service Manager.
What you will do and achieve as a Housing Team Leader
As Housing Team Leader, you will provide strong leadership and guidance to ensure the delivery of responsive, high quality, and service user focused housing and floating support services. You will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure the effective and compliant management of our housing operations, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for all service users.
- Lead and manage the staff team, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring service objectives are met.
- Coach and mentor colleagues, providing individual and group supervision and supporting professional development.
- Support recruitment, including interviewing, onboarding, and inducting new staff and volunteers.
- Oversee day to day operations across 54 Taunton and Yeovil properties, ensuring safe and high quality service delivery.
- Deliver effective housing management, including tenancy sign ups, move ins, compliance, and property re lets.
- Carry out property inspections, identify repairs, and coordinate maintenance action.
- Manage rent processes, including arrears monitoring, tenant support, and following rent banking procedures.
- Respond to anti social behaviour, investigating reports and implementing warning procedures.
- Work with partners and agencies to enhance support for tenants and improve outcomes.
- Provide intensive housing management to tenants with complex needs and mental ill health, promoting independence and tenancy sustainment.
- Assess risks and needs, using person centred approaches to support tenants effectively.
- Maintain accurate data and reporting, ensuring compliance with organisational systems (e.g., HIVE).
- Drive service quality, identifying improvements, supporting innovation, and ensuring the team are updated on service developments.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and contribute to a positive, high performing team culture.
Essential experience, skills required for this role
- I have experience of providing support to people with a mental illness in a comparable role, preferably in a housing environment.
- I have excellent administration, organisation and planning skills.
- I am competent in the use of IT systems including Microsoft applications, email and internet.
- I have a good understanding of tenancy/housing management practice, lettings procedures, relevant legislation and current issues within the housing sector
- I have a good understanding of Welfare Benefits, Housing Benefit and Universal Credit
- I have a good understanding of health and safety and risk management.
- I am experienced in providing a first-class customer service and I can communicate effectively at different levels, face to face, written word and over the telephone.
- I exercise good judgment and to look positively for solutions rather than obstacles
- Ability to motivate people and achieve positive outcomes
- I have excellent communication and literacy skills, able to produce clear, concise reports, correspondence and notes.
- I enjoy working in a fast-paced busy environment.

Rethink Mental Illness work alongside Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV) and Humber, Teaching NHS Foundation Trust to deliver an integrated stepped care mental health service within HMP Hull and Humber.
The team compromises a range of highly skilled professionals who work collaboratively to provide the highest quality of care, for those with mental health needs within the prison and for Rethink Mental Illness employees, this is carried out between 0800 – 1600 Monday to Friday.
As we work across both sites, there may be some travel involved, but this will be done in work time and expenses paid to support service delivery.

Your work will make a real difference by helping people in prison take positive steps toward recovery and a better future. You’ll play a vital role in supporting mental health, reducing risk, and empowering individuals to manage their wellbeing.
In this role, you will
- Assess and manage referrals – Accept referrals via agreed protocols, determine suitability, and ensure clients receive the right level of care, including stepping up treatment when necessary.
- Support recovery and self-management – Work with individuals to identify their goals, assess risk, and empower them to manage their mental health effectively.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions – Provide low-intensity treatments such as Guided Self-Help and psycho-educational support, drawing on CBT principles.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team – Attend meetings, share insights, and ensure smooth step-up and step-down arrangements for clients.
- Maintain high standards of clinical practice – Record outcome measures, keep accurate data, and uphold confidentiality at all times.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Successfully completed academic training aligned with the IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and qualified as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP), e.g., Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies.
- Accredited PWP with BACP or BPS.
- Post-qualification experience delivering the full range of evidence-based IAPT low-intensity interventions at Step 2.
- Proven experience working within a stepped care service, supporting individuals with mental health problems and achieving recovery outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of assessment procedures, screening, referral processes, record-keeping, and evidence-based brief psychological interventions.
- Understanding and application of evidence-based psychological therapies relevant to this role.
- Ability to build effective therapeutic relationships and practice inclusively, respecting cultural diversity and individual beliefs.

About the Role
As Partnerships & Development Manager, you'll be at the heart of a growing alliance of voluntary, community and statutory organisations working together to improve mental health and wellbeing across Sheffield. You'll build and strengthen relationships, identify opportunities for growth and innovation, and help ensure that people with lived experience are central to everything we do.
Working across health, social care and the voluntary sector, you'll support partners to collaborate effectively, influence system change and deliver programmes that improve outcomes for local communities.
What You'll Be Doing

- Build, develop and maintain strategic partnerships across the voluntary, community, health and social care sectors.
- Act as a trusted relationship manager for Alliance partners, commissioners, funders and stakeholders.

- Lead and support projects and programmes, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives, timelines and outcomes.

About You

At Rethink Mental Illness, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Performance and Impact to lead our approach to performance management, insight, business intelligence and research and evaluation. Formed in January 2026, the Business Improvement & Technology directorate brings together Performance and Impact, Technology & Business Systems, Compliance, Quality, Audit and PMO. Its purpose is to enable meaningful, organisation-wide change by strengthening how we use data, insight, systems and embed continuous improvement. The directorate will play a central role in supporting strategic planning and delivery, improving service quality, driving performance, demonstrating impact, maintaining compliance and ensuring our technology and systems help us remain an efficient, effective and insight-led organisation.
What you will do
- Develop, maintain and enhance the organisations performance and impact framework, ensuring alignment to strategic goals
- Design, Implement and embed appropriate benchmarking and evaluation tools to understand and improve outcomes and the experience of those who use our services
- Establish evaluation methodologies to enable the development of co-production programmes which are based on the feedback, voices and insight of those with lived experience
- Lead the implementation of the Data Framework ensuring the delivery of agreed outcomes including improvements in data quality, data skills and transforming data into actionable insight
- Develop key business intelligence and insight reporting to inform the development and performance of services
- Establish evaluation processes for services ensuring reports are produced and shared with key stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in Learning and Organisational Development to establish Data learning and development frameworks

What you’ll bring
Essential experience
- University level qualification or significant experience in Research and/or Insight
- Experience of developing and implementing data strategies or data frameworks
- Knowledge of social value measurement and reporting
- Experienced in service evaluation, ideally within mental health or not for profit sector
- Experienced in managing projects and embedding change
- Experience of applying both qualitative and quantitative research methods, data collection and analysis of data sets

About The Role
This is a pivotal role within a communications and campaigns team focused on raising brand profile, influencing decision-makers and delivering meaningful change. You will be play a central part in coordinating and implementing marketing and communications activity across the charity, operating an ‘account management’ system for requests from colleagues for external communications support. Role Purpose
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred advice and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
You will work as part of a community mental health team, maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment.

- Manage a caseload of around 20 clients who have mental health support needs who are motivated to start/return to work.
- Deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach for which training will be given.
- Meet and support clients to understand their key skills, aspirations and goals through completing a Vocational Profile and produce an Action Plan to help them obtain and sustain competitive employment. This includes support with their job search, CV production, application forms, interview techniques and career development.
- Assess client’s support needs related to work which may include benefits/welfare advice, disclosure of mental health symptoms etc, and provide support & guidance.
- Attend weekly clinical team meetings as an embedded IPS practitioner.
- Source job opportunities for clients through tailored job search and regular contact with local employers to explore hidden as well as advertised employment opportunities.
- Provide education and support to employers, as agreed with the individual, which may include negotiating adjustments, return to work strategy and on-going contact with the employer to ensure job retention.

The team compromises a range of highly skilled professionals who work collaboratively to provide the highest quality of care for those with mental health needs within the prison and for Rethink Mental Illness employees, this is carried out between 0800 – 1600 Monday to Friday.
What I will do and achieve
Your work will make a real difference by helping people in prison take positive steps toward recovery and a better future. You’ll play a vital role in supporting mental health, reducing risk, and empowering individuals to manage their wellbeing.
In this role, you will
- Assess and manage referrals – Accept referrals via agreed protocols, determine suitability, and ensure clients receive the right level of care, including stepping up treatment when necessary.
- Support recovery and self-management – Work with individuals to identify their goals, assess risk, and empower them to manage their mental health effectively.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions – Provide low-intensity treatments such as Guided Self-Help and psycho-educational support, drawing on CBT principles.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team – Attend meetings, share insights, and ensure smooth step-up and step-down arrangements for clients.
- Maintain high standards of clinical practice – Record outcome measures, keep accurate data, and uphold confidentiality at all times.
- Contribute to service performance – Meet agreed activity targets, minimise waiting times, and support monthly performance reporting.
- Build strong partnerships – Work with statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure continuity of care post-release.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Successfully completed academic training aligned with the IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and qualified as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP), e.g., Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies.
- Accredited PWP with BACP or BPS.
- Post-qualification experience delivering the full range of evidence-based IAPT low-intensity interventions at Step 2.
- Proven experience working within a stepped care service, supporting individuals with mental health problems and achieving recovery outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of assessment procedures, screening, referral processes, record-keeping, and evidence-based brief psychological interventions.
- Understanding and application of evidence-based psychological therapies relevant to this role.
- Ability to build effective therapeutic relationships and practice inclusively, respecting cultural diversity and individual beliefs.
- Commitment to an inclusive values base that promotes recovery and respects diversity.
- Experience using clinical outcome measures to inform and improve practice.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working hours: Rota based, shift pattern, 5-week rolling rota consisting of 5 shifts per week, including one sleep-in. Minimum of 3 working weekends. Shifts: 8am-4pm, 2pm-10pm followed by a sleep-in, 7am-1pm and 1pm – 9pm shifts.
