Our group aims to be a safe place for carers to offload their problems and support each other, knowing they will not be judged. We have all had personal experience of caring for someone close to us, and so we understand what it can be like supporting someone through a challenging treatment path. We have occasional speakers, and try to be involved in local decision making to help improve the situations of carers and their loved ones.

Our long running group is open to anyone who has a brother or sister with lived experience of mental illness. The relationship between siblings is different to any other relationship, and our group reflects that. We can give a good insight into how mental illness can change relationships and discuss the ways you can support your sibling and the rest of your family, both emotionally and practically. The group usually meets roughly 9 times a year, on the last Wednesday of the month, but from time to time this may change. We mainly support siblings whose brother or sister has schizophrenia or bi-polar but will not turn anyone away who cannot find support elsewhere. The best way to contact the group is via our email address: rethinklondonsibs@gmail.com. All will receive a warm welcome.

The Mind Body Medicine Yoga Group aims to support those bereaved by the suicide of a loved one through yoga, as they work through their journey after this experience. The sessions are facilitated by a qualified yoga teacher with a specialism in yoga for mental wellbeing and who has lived experience of the loss of a loved one by suicide. The group meets once a meet to practice yoga together. We offer a weekly session in a studio in Highgate which is also available via zoom link for those not able to make it to the venue. Yoga can support our bodies and our minds as we navigate our pathway to live with our changed selves after loss by suicide. Our group is open to all levels.
