The Bristol Ethnic Inclusion Service partners with Bristol Community Support Services to provide responsive mental health support tailored to the needs of individuals from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Rethink Bristol services help individuals improve their quality of life through personalised, one-to-one support to access community resources. The Ethnic Inclusion Service collaborates with statutory mental health teams and community organisations to enhance service accessibility for ethnically diverse communities. We understand that individuals may prefer to communicate in languages other than English, and interpreter services are available to support these needs.

At The Mead we believe that anyone who suffers from mental illness has the opportunity to live life to the full. The Mead offers 24-hour support, so there are always trained staff on hand to support residents and deal with any problems that might arise. Each resident has a ‘key worker’ who takes a special interest in their wellbeing, supporting them in what they wish to achieve while living at the home. This could include taking a college course, improving daily-living skills, working towards managing their own medication, or working to improve self-confidence. Staff work in a person-centred way to support each resident to achieve their goals. The service aims to support residents to become independent and move on to either a lower level support service or their own accommodation.
