Our Advice Service gives practical advice to adults living in England who are affected by mental illness. We advise people with a mental health problem, their friends, families and carers. We advise professionals who may want to know more about mental illness and how they can support the person they are working with. The Advice Service are expertly trained in a range of issues, including; mental health conditions, access to care and treatment, different medications and treatments, individual rights under the Mental Health Act, social care, and welfare benefits. We give advice to carers about their rights and how they can support the person they care for. Calls to our Advice Service cost the same as when you call a local number.

We place people who use our services at the centre of everything we do. We provide high quality services and welcome feedback from service users to constantly develop and improve them. We are a highly experienced team of senior mental health recovery workers, working across Oxfordshire, specialising in supporting carers of people living with a mental illness. We work closely with Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership, signposting and referring to services and providing a carers course within the Oxfordshire Recovery College. Our Exeter Community Outreach service is a team of Mental Health Recovery Workers providing mental health support to those in their own homes within the community. We provide weekly support to those with a support package through Devon Partnership Trust NHS and Devon County Council. We provide recovery-based, enabling support to meet the needs of the individual. Where possible, we try to provide support at a time that best suits the needs of our Service Users. Rethink uses a “Recovery” model of support, encouraging people to manage and control their own recovery as much as possible.
