Our Group has been supporting people living with mental illness including their families and carers for over thirty years. We run a monthly carers group in collaboration with the York carers centre. Our group meets once a month in an evening, and offers carers and family supporting someone living with mental illness the chance to come together in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Our friendly group offers a safe space for people to share their experiences freely and without judgement, so our members feel less isolated and more supported. We provide information, share knowledge and skills and on occasions we are supported by visiting speakers from our local trust, keeping us up to date with changes in services and care.

We are pleased to announce our group is meeting once again after a period of suspension due to COVID. Our Wakefield Carers group has been meeting for several years now. We are a friendly group that meets once a month in an afternoon. We offer a safe, relaxing space for people caring for someone with mental illness to share what sort of month they've had.
